14. Unkempt Body Hair
This include legs, arms, chest, and the nether regions. I suggest using your clilppers on a 1 or 2 setting and clipping your body hair every 2-3 months, depending on how hairy you are.
13. Ungroomed Eyebrows
Eyebrows should be plucked if you have a unibrow and trimmed if there is a lot of hair like Mr. Rooney on the right below. Most barbers will trim your eyebrows if you ask, or there’s specialty items for this, as well. One thing that should be avoided is making sure they’re not too shaped and clean like a woman’s eyebrows.
12. Not taking care of your facial skin
Everyone should have a daily routine of washing, moisturizing, and protecting your skin with sunscreen when you’ll be outside in the sun.
11. Too Long Between Haircuts
If you have a shorter hairstyle, you should get a haircut every 2-3 weeks, and if it is a bit longer you can go every 3-4 weeks. If you’re balding or have a buzzed cut, you always want to have a haircut every few days, up to once a week.
10. Nose Hair / Ear Hair
I’ll let the picture below do the explaining for me.
9. Unkempt Facial Hair
This is a real turnoff, especially when your hair is way too long and starting to cover your lips or you have a bunch of you stubble on your neck. If you want stubble, make sure to shave your neck and keep it clean.
8. Dirty, Greasy, Ungroomed Hair
This is something I immediately notice on a guy, and makes my stomach churn, especially when it looks dirty and greasy. So make sure you wash and style your hair before stepping out in public.
7. Bloody Gums or Food in Teeth
Go to the dentist for a regular teeth cleaning and carry floss or toothpicks and excuse yourself to the restroom to check your teeth after meals.
6. Bad Breath
This is easily fixable: brush your teeth regularly and well and either pop a mint or small piece of gum before talking to people, whenever possible.
5. Being Stinky
I hope I don’t have to say it, but shower regularly, wear deodorant and please, for the love of everyone around you, go very easy on the cologne. There’s definitely such a thing as too much of a good thing.
4. Dirty, Long Finger and Toe Nails
This also includes jagged or bitten nails. Keep them regularly trimmed with clippers. For most men, that means once every two-ish weeks. It’s easiest to do this after a shower when your nails are softest.
3. Not Moisturizing Enough
There’s nothing more disgusting than cracked, ashy, or rough hands, elbows, kees and feet. When you get out of the shower, simply take some lotion, rub it on your hands, elbows, knees and feet (including heels) and you still will thank you for it – as well a lot of people around you.
2. Neck Hair
This one makes me shudder just by thinking about it. When I see a guy who looks sharp and put together and then he turns his head and I see the back of his neck is hairy – bleh! It ruins it all for me. If your neck hair grows faster than your haircut schedule, just take your razor while you’re shaving your face and give a pass or two to the back of your neck. You won’t notice, but most people behind you will.
1. Cracked or Dry Lips
The first thing I notice when we are talking is your cracked or dry lips and I’m doing everything I possibly can to get away from your as quickly as possible. Just slap on some chapstick or other lip moisturizer if they feel a little dry and you’ll be good to go.
