Should Men Wear Hoodies?

Hoodies, we’ve all got them, but how and when are the right ways for a stylish man to wear them?  In this episode of 2 Minute Tuesday we dive into whether or not men should wear hoodies.

Don’t forget to check out all of our hoodie picks below!

Hoodie Style Tips

  1. No logos – You always hear me going on and on about no logos, and it’s for good reason!  You’re not a billboard and large, garish logos aren’t something that adds anything stylish to a well-dressed man’s overall look.
  2. Solid colors only – Keep your color choices simple – grey, navy, black, olive, or dark grey.
  3. Stick with pullover hoodies – They’re a great layering piece as part of your casual wardrobe, especially with denim, chinos, and sneakers.
  4. Try Wool/Cashmere – Higher-end materials like cashmere can elevate the look of a hoodie and add a bit of extra something, especially if you’re wearing them in the evening.

Worth It? Cashmere Sweaters

Now that we’re headed into Fall it’s about time you start thinking about your sweater rotation. While cashmere is expensive, it’s no longer just a true luxury item, and you can now find cashmere sweaters at multiple different price points. We get asked about cashmere sweaters a ton so we thought it was time we gave you our opinion on whether or not cashmere was worth it.

Pros:

-Very light, soft, and warm.  Cashmere is the ideal material for sweaters.

-They are extremely comfortable and layer easily.

-Have a nice finish that can be dressy or casual.

Cons:

-Expensive to very expensive.

-Delicate and require extra care. Not as durable as merino wool or cotton versions.

-Cashmere sweaters now come at a huge range of price points so it can be tough to know the quality.

Verdict:

Ashley: Worth It
Dorian: Not Worth It
